Grar on trouble with comment-getting devices. And also with the really loud machine outside that keeps beeping. And also on the person with the annoying cell phone who keeps making it play songs. Why? What makes you think this is a good idea?
Friday Five!

1. Were you raised in a particular religious faith?
Um, kind of, but not really. My mom was all into Religious Science for a while and we went to church at a Religious Scientist place on and off, but as my sister puts it, "I thought you were supposed to learn about religion in Sunday school, not just color and then eat cookies." Yeah, but I did go to Catholic school for a while, and I desperately wanted to be baptised a Catholic until I was nine or ten. Then there was the "I wanna be Jewish like Bette Midler" phase... yeah, I was a weird kid.

2. Do you still practice that faith? Why or why not?
Well, no, but I never really did in the first place. I guess in an odd way I probably fit in more with the ideas behind Religious Science now than I ever did before.

3. What do you think happens after death?
Many things.

4. What is your favorite religious ritual (participating in or just observing)?
I particularly enjoy lighting candles and praying or meditating while staring into the flame. Candles are good. I like to light them when I visit big cathedrals, and also just at home. I'm not very religious, but I suppose you could call this a religious ritual.

5. Do you believe people are basically good?
I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Generally.

The Friday Five is fun! You should do it, too!

Wow, hi old blog! Nice to be inside you again. Maybe I'll update you more often.
